Greetings, y'all.This is Daniel. Me and James have decided
to take it upon ourselves to create an RP-esque Xanga Narrative.
What, you ask, is an RP-esque xanga narrative?
"RP-esque Xanga Narrative" is a word I just made up. In
essence, it means we'll be writing short stories on Xanga. All the short
stories will be found on the Xanga site The_Avedis.
It also means that you will be involved with this process.
The stories we write will be aided by you in multiple ways.
First and foremost, we’d like you to create a character.
When you do so, you’ll sign The_Avedis ‘s guest book, leaving a name for your character, their “class,” or
job, their likes and dislikes, as well as anything else that you might like to
be included in the story. Also be sure to include a detailed description of
your class, and what your character is good for.
Here’s a sample:
Bob Knight
Class: Fisherman and soldier
Bob Knight is a great warrior in the land of Armamont. His
ancestry can be traced back to the very first Order of the Knights of Armamont.
However, in the years of peace, his family settled down into a quiet life as
fishermen. Still, he has an affinity for
swordplay, and secretly dreams of being a glorious fighter one day. He is tall
and strong with long brown hair. His likes include fishing and fighting, and
his dislikes include evil and frogs.
That’s an example of a nice, brief character “bio.” Be sure
to include as much info as you feel could be useful—anything you don’t specify
will be made up, likely off the top of mine or James’ head.
Second, you can make suggestions for the story by leaving
comments on this page. There is, of course, no guarantee we’ll always use the
suggestions but if we feel like writing but are completely brain dead, we’ll
need something to work with.
Third, you can join the blogring. This is primarily in the
hopes that somebody else’ll be on your site, and like, go on the blogring,
discover the site, enjoy it, and so on…
Fourth, subscribe to this page and to The_Avedis .
This is, once more, to get more people to come here. The way
this is supposed to work is that we’ll be writing short stories about a limited
portion of the cast list at a time. Therefore, the more people that become
involved, the less we have to repeat characters. Except when we want to.
Fifth, help us out.
Yeha, we’re technologically stupid. And artistically stupid.
We’ll be placing a map up on here soon, and you’ll laugh. SO if any of you
would feel it in your hearts to take the concepts form the map and turn it into
a really cool looking map, we’d love you forever. Really.
Also, all you layout-intensive people, if you’d make us a
spiffy layout for The_Avedis, that’d rock.
